College Basketball Coaching Representation  ·  Los Angeles

Emerge your career.

Representation for college basketball coaches who are ready for the next job and don't have anyone making the call on their behalf. We position you, get you in the room, and negotiate the contract that follows.

The Reality

Talent moves you sideways.
Advocacy moves you up.

Every spring, jobs go to coaches who were not the most qualified candidate — they were the most represented one. Somebody vouched for them before the search ever became public. Most coaches never get that call made for them.

You're not in the room

By the time a job is posted, the short list often exists. Without someone advocating for you early, you're applying into a decision that's already forming.

Your materials undersell you

A résumé lists where you've been. It doesn't show a search committee what you'd do with their program in year one. Most coaching portfolios never make that case.

You negotiate alone

Athletic directors negotiate contracts for a living. Coaches do it once every few years — often thrilled just to be offered, and reluctant to push.

What We Do

Full representation, start to signature.

We don't hand you a template and wish you luck. We work the market on your behalf and stay at the table until the deal is done.

01

Career Strategy & Positioning

Where you realistically sit today, which jobs are genuinely in reach, and what the next 12 months should look like to get you there.

02

Résumé & Coaching Portfolio

A complete package — résumé, program vision, recruiting philosophy, player development plan — built for how committees actually read.

03

Interview Preparation

Mock interviews with the questions ADs really ask, plus the budget, roster, NIL, and compliance answers you're expected to already have.

04

Network Introductions

Direct outreach to athletic directors, search firms, and decision-makers — the part you cannot do for yourself without it looking like campaigning.

05

Contract Negotiation

We negotiate on your behalf: term, base, incentives, buyout, staff pool, and the details coaches routinely leave on the table.

The Process

How an engagement runs.

Clear, deliberate, and confidential from the first conversation. Most coaches we work with are currently employed — discretion isn't a feature, it's the baseline.

01

Discovery

A confidential conversation about where you are, what you want, and whether we're the right people to get you there.

02

Positioning

We build your materials and sharpen the story — what you do, who you are, and why a program should hand you their roster.

03

Advocacy

We work our relationships. Calls get made, your name gets into searches early, and you get prepared for every conversation that follows.

04

The Deal

When an offer comes, we negotiate it on your behalf — and you go coach without wondering what you left behind.

Who We Represent

Coaches with more to give than their title shows.

Division I Assistants

Ready to be a head coach, or ready for a bigger seat on a bigger staff — and tired of watching the ladder get climbed by people you've outworked.

Division II, III & NAIA

Coaches doing extraordinary work where nobody's watching. These levels have the least representation in the industry and the most talent going unnoticed.

Coaches in Transition

A contract ended, a staff turned over, a program changed direction. We move quickly and quietly to get you back on a sideline.

I've watched good coaches lose jobs they were right for because nobody made the call for them. Scott Martin — Founder, Emerge Sports Management

The Founders

Thirty years of relationships, pointed at your career.

Scott Martin helped build West Coast Elite into the largest grassroots basketball program and event company on the West Coast before its sale to 3Step Sports. He served as Vice President at Attitude of Gratitude National Events and All In Elite, sold to Rocket Youth Sports, founded Academic Athletes, and helped grow Silver Waves Media into one of the most connected media companies in the sport.

Co-founder Tyler Maxwell is Vice President of Basketball at Attitude of Gratitude National Events, where he runs the high school and collegiate events portfolio and its expansion into the college marketplace. Before that he led development at West Coast Elite.

That network — coaches, athletic directors, search firms, media — is what Emerge puts to work for the people who have never had anyone work it for them.

Next Step

The next job cycle is already forming.

A first conversation costs you nothing and stays between us. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that directly.
